Weber I/O: Starting with Their Own People

The discourse around AI in the workplace is everywhere, but true innovation is driven by people. To fully grasp the intersection of human creativity and technology, Weber I/O turned the lens inward to see how their people actually feel about AI.

The Project

As experts in navigating emerging technology, Weber I/O wanted to understand how its own employees are experiencing the generative AI shift. Through a series of small-group conversations, employees shared firsthand experiences of integrating AI into their workflows: what was working, and where they felt stuck.

To make sense of what they heard, the I/O team worked through Cortico’s sensemaking process — a systematic listening process led by people and supported by AI-assisted tools. The team listened carefully across all the conversations, identifying patterns and surfacing themes, building toward a clearer picture of employees’ experiences with AI grounded in their own words.

What the Conversations Surfaced

No two people felt the same. Employees described a deeply personal dynamic with AI; some are pioneering new creative use cases, while others are just starting to explore its long-term potential.

The picture that emerged was complicated, but it was real. For an agency helping clients navigate the same shifts, it’s a resource built to inform how Weber Shandwick thinks about AI from the inside out.
