We’re excited you’re here. Below is a bit more about Cortico, and how to get started.
Cortico, in collaboration with MIT’s Center for Constructive Communication, partners with communities like yours to turn shared listening into meaningful action. Together with more than 275 organizations, we’re building a growing community of people who listen, care, connect, and create change.
Now it’s your turn.
Cortico helps your community — your neighborhood, your school, your workplace — harness the power of small-group conversations to listen and understand what people really have to say.
Start with a good conversation. Gather a small group to share personal stories and experiences. Each conversation is recorded, with transcripts generated automatically to enable the steps that follow.
Cortico’s tools allow you to surface patterns across conversations through sensemaking – a systematic listening process led by people and supported by AI tools.
Share media outputs that incorporate real voices and data-driven insights to build understanding grounded in listening.
Generative AI is reshaping how we learn, work, and connect with one another. But right now, many of the biggest decisions about its future are being made behind closed doors.
We believe the future of AI should be shaped by all of us — through open conversation, shared understanding, and real community voices. It’s time to bring AI into the public square and make it a collective project, not a private one. Here’s how.
Start by bringing a small group together for a conversation in your community. Your stories and insights will become part of a growing global dialogue about what life and connection look like in the age of AI.

What began with PBS FRONTLINE youth fellows is now expanding to libraries and campuses nationwide. We’re just getting started, and we’re excited for you to help shape this growing conversation on AI.

The American Conversation Project (ACP) invites people across the country to start conversations that lift up the voices of everyday Americans. Led by the National Conference on Citizenship and powered by Cortico, this national effort is bringing communities together to share stories of belonging, challenge, and hope—and to imagine the future we want to create together.
